What's new at The Aspen Moose 2011

We thanks all of our loyal guests for another great year! We had some great memories made this year and we loved all of your comments, feedback and ideas.  Because of your feedback we have mad some changes and have some on the schedule for 2012!

2012  Plans:

We are already spraying and will spray for weed control 5 times in 2012.  The weather in 2011 was a perfect storm and allowed the pickers to grow like crazy, so we are now at war to eliminate 6 types of broad leaf priklers form teh property

We  also will being replacing our beloved yet inefficient original wood windows.

We are going to add day use options.  This new program will allow VIP guests to just come up for the day and use the cabin for games, This will be about $45  to our VIP guests and will have some additional terms, however we think this will add substancial value and the benefits of ownership without the headaches of ownership.

2011: What we did

Electronic Locks:   We added touch pad locks this year! This eliminates the worries of losing keys, getting locked out and are much more secure.

Automated Heat controls:   We automated our heating and cooling systems so there is nothing guests need to adjust, worry about or deal with.  Everything is now more efficient and hands off!

Driveway reworked:  For everyone but Mike a cheer will go up at our wider driveway!  The circular drive is now much more functional, there is more parking and we fixed the trench our contractors left in the driveway after work done in 2010!

Mud free paths:  Spring time was always interesting as everything is so wet... so we added rock pathways so that getting to the back yard area and outdoor play areas are stone paths, not bare dirt!  This should make it much cleaner in and around the cabin.

Improved drainage:  Record snow levels caused many problems in Timberlakes when it all melted, so we installed 50ft of drainage to eliminate the pooling in the driveway and to improve spring and summer drainage

GRASS!  We have plans for a small lush grassy area on the west side that will hopefully attract even more deer and moose as we plant some delicious grasses outside the windows by the great room and dining areas.

WAR: we have declared war on the thistles, pickers and otherr offenders... their reign of the grounds is coming to an end! :)
